Here are some common questions and answers to help you understand what to expect and how hypnotherapy can benefit you.

What is hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is a technique that uses hypnosis to help individuals access their subconscious mind. By guiding you into a state of deep relaxation and focused attention, hypnotherapy allows you to explore thoughts, emotions, and behaviours to facilitate positive change and personal growth.

How does hypnosis work?

Hypnosis involves inducing a state of deep relaxation and heightened focus. In this state, your mind becomes more receptive to positive suggestions and new ways of thinking. Hypnotherapy uses this state to address various issues, such as stress, habits, or phobias, by working with the subconscious mind.

Is hypnotherapy safe?

Yes, hypnotherapy is a safe and non-invasive therapeutic technique. It is performed by trained and certified professionals who ensure a supportive and secure environment. Hypnosis is a natural state of mind, and you remain in control throughout the process.

What happens during a hypnotherapy session?

During a hypnotherapy session, you’ll start with a relaxation phase where the hypnotherapist guides you into a deeply relaxed state. Once relaxed, you will explore your specific issues or goals through positive suggestions, visualization, or exploration of subconscious material. After the session, you’ll have time to discuss your experience and any insights gained.

Will I remember what happened during hypnosis?

Most people remember the experience during hypnosis and can recall the key aspects of the session. The level of recall can vary, but you will always be aware of what’s happening and able to discuss it afterward.

Will I be under someone else's control during hypnosis?

No, you will not be under someone else’s control. Hypnosis is a collaborative process where you remain in control of your actions and decisions. As a hypnotherapist, I guide you but do not make decisions for you. You are always in charge of your own mind and body.

What can hypnotherapy help with?

Hypnotherapy can assist with a wide range of issues, including:

How effective is hypnotherapy?

The American Health Magazine put out a study that showed hypnotherapy 

had the highest recovery rate with the lowest amount of sessions, when 

compared with behaviour therapy and psychoanalysis - at a 93% recovery 

rate with just 6 sessions.  By gaining direct access to the subconscious

mind, hypnosis facilitates mindset and behaviour changes much more 

quickly than more traditional forms of therapy.

Can hypnotherapy help if I’ve tried other methods 

without success?

Yes, hypnotherapy can be an effective complementary therapy if other 

methods have not worked for you. It provides a different approach by 

accessing the subconscious mind, which can sometimes reveal and 

address underlying issues that other methods may not reach.

Can anyone be hypnotized?

Absolutely.  There was a belief at one point that only a certain percentage of the population was hypnotizable.  In fact it just depends on the way that you take in information, or your 'suggestibility type'.  As a hypnotherapist, I will always test a client's suggestibility during our first session to make sure that the suggestions I use will be accepted into the client's subconscious mind.

Are sessions held in person or remotely?

All of my sessions are held over Zoom at this time, and for the foreseeable future.

 

What are the benefits of personalized hypnotherapy sessions versus a hypnosis recording?

There are a few reasons that live one on one hypnosis sessions are really beneficial:

  • One on one hypnosis sessions allow you to fall into a much deeper trance, as the hypnotherapist is gauging your depth and responding accordingly to deepen or lighten your state.

  • The hypnotic journey will be written in a way that your subconscious mind will best respond - either more literally or more inferentially, depending on your 'suggestibility type' which is determined in the first session.

  • The hypnotic journey will be customized with words that you use, specific to your own experience, emotions, and goals as described by you.  For optimal results with hypnosis, it's important that the language used resonates with you and what specifically you are looking to achieve.

  • Through conversations with the hypnotherapist and through journaling exercises, clients often come to new conclusions about their issue that further the effects of the hypnosis.

How do I get started with hypnotherapy?

To get started, you can schedule an Introduction session with me. During this session, we’ll discuss your goals, answer any questions you may have, and determine if hypnotherapy is the right fit for you. From there, we’ll develop a personalized plan to help you achieve your desired outcomes. You always can book a free consultation to learn more.

 

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions required varies depending on the individual and the issue being addressed. Some people experience significant improvements in just one or two sessions, while others may benefit from a series of sessions. Your hypnotherapist will work with you to determine a plan that best suits your needs and goals. A general guideline is that for one presenting issue, it can be somewhere between 4-6 sessions. I always recommend scheduling a free consultation to learn more.

How much do sessions cost?

Introductory hypnotherapy session costs €150 for 75-120 minutes, and this is mandatory session (for the first clients only) before any Single session or any Package sessions. Single session costs €130 per 45-60 minutes, also there are 3 packages sessions with pricing below.  You may book your FREE 20 minutes hypnotherapy consultation here.

  • 3 sessions for €360 (€120 / session, €30 savings)

  • 6 sessions for €660 (€110 / session, €120 savings)

  • 9 sessions for €900 (€100 / session, €270 savings)

What is your cancelation policy?

The client must cancel with 24 hours notice or else forfeits the session fee.

Psychoanalysis:  38% recovery after 600 sessions
